Our Programme

beginners swimming course
Swimming lessons in summer for our beginners for water safety.

Our beginners train at the shallow Kiddies Beach, safe and fun.

Our rowers train five times per week, mostly in single-scull.

our opening by Minister Stofile
Nemato Rowing Club was officially opened on Youth Day, June 16 2006, by National Minister of Sport Stofile.
we won the Jack Cheetham Award
We won the prestigious Jack Cheetham Award as best development sports club in South Africa.
South African Sports Awards
We were shortlisted for and invited to the South African Sports Awards.

We had visitors from many overseas rowing clubs like Eton College and Leander from England.
founder member of the Sport for Social Change Network
We are a founder member of the Sport for Social Change Network Southern Africa.
our eight winning Most Improved Boys Trophy
Our eight won the Most Improved Boys Award at Boat Race.
Athi wins Eastern Cape Champs
Athenkosi Hlekani was our first provincial junior champion in single-scull. He got a sports bursary from the University of Johannesburg and he is now the rowing Head Coach of Rondebosch High School.
Odwa and Mihlali winning National Club Champs
Our first winners at the National Club Championships.

Odwa Ntamo is our fist rower to compete overseas: he went to Henley and Oxford in England.
