Double mini trampoline arrives in South Africa (December)
Our new double mini trampoline arrived in the country. The trampoline and the mats were donated by
Lotto, Change a Life and private donors.

World Championships Tokyo (December)
Siyabulela and coach Lee were at the World Championships in Tokyo. Siyabulela came 37th out of 76
on trampoline. On double mini trampoline he was 11th out of 40, without training, because we don't
have a double mini trampoline.

Madiba Cup in George (26 September)
We participated in Madiba Cup Series in George this past weekend. Results: Liyema DMT 2nd Tra 1st,
Siyabulela DMT 1st TRA 2nd, Khanyile DMT 2nd TRA 1st, Thandisizwe TRA 2nd and Lubabalo TRA 1st.

Tumbling track (10 September)

Siyabulela Gymnast of the Year (5 August)
Siyabulela Siwa won the Best Junior Trampoline Gymnast Award 2018 by the South African
Gymnastics Federation. He took over from Onke Mangele who won the award in 2016 and 2017:
Nemato three years in a row!

Second Eastern Cape Trials (4 August)
Medals for our gymnasts at the Eastern Cape Trials: Siyabulela gold on trampoline (TRA) and
double-mini trampoline (DMT), Khanyile 3rd on DMT and 2nd TRA, Onke 2nd DMT and 1st on TRA
and Liyema 1st on DMT and 3rd on TRA.

First Eastern Cape Trials (10 June)
Eastern Cape Gymnastics Trials: Siyabulela two times gold, Onke one silver and one bronze and Liyema two times gold.

Madiba Cup PE (17 March)
Our gymnasts competed in the inter-provincial Madiba Cup. First places for:
Onke, Khanyile, Sibusiso and Melligan.

Eastern Cape Awards (26 January)
Lots of medals and trophies at the 2018 Eastern Cape Gymnastics Awards. Most outstanding was Onke,
who won the main trophy, the Senior Sport Star Award, for his achievements at the age of 16.
